Indian Take away

So, people, if you are at home and too tired to cook, what takeaway would you order?

I completed a survey recently and the main food most people eat is Indian or Italian food. This can be by ordering takeaway or having a sit-down dinner in a restaurant.

So I decided to order a takeaway from Eastern Balti in Northampton so that I could enjoy an Indian meal and then create a food shoot.

For this shoot, I used natural light, 45-degree angles, and 90-degree angles. The main aspect of this shot was the style of the setup, as I used a variety of extra props to include takeaway food. Embrace the Indian theme with flowers, milk for a hot curry, and spices to decorate the surface.

Once I formed the setup, I no longer use an SD card, but use a tether cable connected from the camera to the laptop. On my laptop, I have Lightroom open, so I can see each image as I take them. I can press a button on my laptop to take each photograph. Causing me to not touch the camera, which prevents shake when pressing the shutter release button if shooting at a slow shutter speed.

In the post-production stage, I amended the exposure and was unsure of which type of edit result was the best. I have a darkened edit and a lightened edit with colour enhancement.

I’ll be honest, I am unsure of which post-production effect I prefer, as there are positives and negatives to both. So I uploaded a set of three 90-degree angled shoots to Instagram to promote this work.
